How do I know if my child is up to date on their vaccinations?

Your child’s vaccination history should be recorded in their red book. However if you are unable to locate this or if you are still unsure you can call your GP surgery and ask them to check for you. It's important that vaccines are given on time for the best protection.

What do I do if my child has missed a vaccination? 

If you child has missed a vaccination there is no need to worry! Getting a catch-up vaccination is a simple process. 

  • Parents and carers can either contact their GP or simply book a catch up appointment at a Vaccination catch-up clinic
  • If your child goes to school, they should go to a clinic in the borough where they go to school e.g. if you live in Enfield but your child goes to school in Barnet, you should book a Barnet clinic. 
  • If your child is educated at home, they should go to a clinic in the borough where they live.
  • You will need to book appointments by either emailing or phoning the appropriate service for the borough you need.

Alternatively, if your child has missed any of their MMR vaccinations, you can book an appointment at the MMR Clinic at UCL Hospital. Eligible for children aged 6 months to 17 years old.
