Black health is wealth is the theme of this year’s ECA Black History Month event. This FREE all-day event (10am-4pm) takes place on Saturday, 28th October at Green Towers Community Centre in Edmonton. Black health is wealth is an opportunity to talk to Black professional health practitioners about your health and wellbeing needs and aspirations. Delicious FREE Caribbean brunch is included.
The keynote speakers include:
- Leading breast cancer specialist Dr Julie Hammond and Black Women Rising ambassador Evelyn Joseph.
- Errol McKellar of the Errol McKellar Foundation will speak on Prostrate Cancer.
- Dr Ako will be speaking on Heart awareness.
There are three dynamic workshops :
- London-based Art Therapist Dacika Wallace will facilitate a workshop on Art Therapy for mental health
- Bring your trainers or comfortable shoes to participate in a Fitness and health – Zumba workout by Jackie Dyer
- Healthy diet and nutrition by Jean Jean-Marie.
