We want to hear from Enfield’s young people
Our small team of young volunteers have developed a survey to help us better understand what young people want from their local health and care services.
Take the survey
Five minutes spent taking our survey to answer questions like these can really help make a difference in Enfield. You can complete our survey online.
What do we want to know?
Do young people want more information about sexual health, mental health or perhaps about what their rights are? Do they feel they are listened to when they go to their GP? Do they understand medical or social care information that is given to them? Have they had good or bad experiences? Could some services work differently, better or be more widely advertised? These are just a few examples of the views we have heard from young people already. You can help us develop our understanding by sharing your experiences too.
What difference will it make?
The more young people that contribute to our survey, the bigger evidence base we will be able to collect about what really matters to young people in Enfield.
Our Young Healthwatch team will focus on one or two of the main priorities emerging from the results over the coming year. That might involve working with service providers to co-design solutions or it could mean working in creative ways to help raise awareness about existing services that are not well known about. Our team of young volunteers are set up and ready to work together to help involve, improve and inform other young people in Enfield about health and social care services in our borough and this survey is where we start.
What else will Healthwatch Enfield do with the results?
We will write a report to share our findings with local health and care leaders such as the Clinical Commissioning Group; North Mid; Chase Farm; GP networks; Pharmacies and more. Leaders will be able to refer to them to help inform their decisions about future services in Enfield, not just for today. We will be reporting all your views and experiences anonymously and build on themes that emerge from the survey.
Who can take the survey?
We want to hear from people aged between 16-25 years of age who live, work or study in Enfield. We are also especially keen to hear from young people in minority groups such as carers, those with hidden as well as visible disabilities; learning difficulties; health conditions; LGBTQ+ and more. In other words, we would like to reach as wide a range of people as possible, so our study is representative of the diversity in the borough.
