Boundary House Surgery is rated ‘Good’ by CQC

The Care Quality Commission has rated Boundary House Surgery 'Good’ overall.

The practice is situated in Edmonton and has 5400 registered patients. This is part of a contract held with NHS England. The practice is part of a wider network of GP practices. 

The practice provides a wide range of services including clinics for diabetes, weight control, asthma, contraception and child health care. The practice also provides travel vaccinations and a range of health promotion services including a flu vaccination programme and cervical screening.

The inspection took place on the 1st of December 2023 and was focused on the 'Responsive' key question. Under, 'Responsive' the surgery was rated as 'Requires Improvement', but the surgery's overall rating will remain 'Good'.

The CQC found that: 

• Some patients could access care and treatment in a timely way. 

• Patient feedback for access was below local and national averages. 

• Services were developed to respond to the needs of the local population. 

• There was evidence the practice used complaints to drive improvement.

The practice was previously inspected in September 2022, the practice was rated 'Good' in all five key questions, with an overall rating of 'Good'.
